Erin Giglio is an evolutionary biologist focussed on sexual selection and energy allocation. Her work has been published in Nature: Evolution and Ecology.

Erin is based out of the Phelps Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. She previously worked for the Dyer Lab at the University of Georgia.
She is currently interviewing for post-doctoral positions with interests in invasive species and insect behaviour, among others.
Collaboration and science communication are key values in Erin’s work. She strives to work with scientists from a variety of disciplines and to ensure that her work is communicated accurately to the public.

Erin has nearly finished her PhD work and expects to defend soon. Her PhD research has taught her about perseverance, improvisation, and patience. Much of the equipment used in her PhD research was built-to-task in the lab by Erin.
This infant Alston’s singing mouse was used in Erin’s research into leptins and hormone signalling.
